Wales rugby star Andy Powell is expected to appear before Cardiff magistrates later today after being charged with drink driving.
Powell was arrested at the services at junction 33 on the M4 just hours after Wales beat Scotland last month in the Six Nations.
The forward's arrest came after a golf buggy was taken from the Vale Hotel and Spa, where Wales team members were staying.
Police told the BBC that the 28-year old Mr Powell was charged "driving a mechanically propelled vehicle whilst unfit through drink".
A second man who was arrested with Mr Powell was later released without charge.
Mr Powell played in the 31-24 victory in the SixNations championship before returning to the Vale Hotel along with his Wales teammates to spend the night.
Brecon-born rugby flanker Powell has won 14 caps for Wales but has been removed from the current Wales squad. He toured with the British and Irish Lions squad to South Africa last year.
Powell plays his club game for Cardiff Blues , after joining from the Llanelli Scarlets in 2005 and has also played for Beziers, Leicester Tigers and Newport.
